Our family has a member with dementia. We have been struggling to find resources that might take some of the pressure of caregiving off the shoulders of those who care for him. We recently found KindCare Senior Day and Health Center in Monroe. They offer weekday care for the elderly, those with dementia, and adults with disabilities. They offer games and activities, serve lunch and snacks, and provide wonderful enrichment and companionship. It is run and staffed by some of the kindest people we have had the pleasure of meeting. It has truly been a godsend for our family and I wanted to let others who might be in need of a similar solution know that it is out there!
